transfiguration - a complete change of form/appearance into a more (spiritually) beautiful state. the piece is in three completely juxtaposing sections, linked together by the same trajectories of transformation on different time-scales.

movement i: mysterious and dark. based on a chromatic pitch set, it culminates towards one big crescendo and one sharp and piercing compound chord. this is followed by a brief foreshadowing of the third movement (i.e transfigured state), represented by a polychord in mirror harmony.

movement ii: an intermediate between the first and third movement. the juxtaposition of the chromatic pitch set, and mirror polychord. culminates towards three bursts of the mirror polychord.

movement iii: delicate and intricate projection of the mirror chord. the music fades away at the end, with the dissonances within the mirror chord gradually weakening.
