what the FORTE (WTF) is a group of (rebellious) young musicians who are dedicated to performing new music. This ensemble currently comprises of two versatile keyboardists, a flautist, a bass trombonist and a drummer - an incredibly weird combination of instruments. 

what the FORTE is also a group dedicated to premiering works by local composers in order to contribute to the new music scene in Singapore.

Having finished our inaugural performance in Melomania VI, we are also working on a recording project featuring both existing avant garde music and new local compositions. The group also pays strong interest to indisciplinary collaborations and multi-medium works, and we are currently working on a film and  collaboration for the rest of 2023.  I am currently serving as the artistic director of this group, and some of our projects can be seen below. I play keyboard instruments together with this group.
